Shabbat

Services at Beth David are open to worshippers of all ages. Lucky for us, Shabbat comes every week, so there is always an opportunity to join us in prayer!

Friday Nights

On most weeks, we begin Shabbat Services at 6:30pm and conclude with a communal oneg celebration.

Occasionally, our Friday night worship includes a Tot Shabbat Service specifically designed for our youngest worshippers (ages 1-6, though they can also bring their parents) or other communal meals or programs. Please check the calendar for details.

Shabbat Mornings

On Shabbat mornings from September to June, we meet at 9:15am for Torah Study and bagels. Most weeks, we continue with Shabbat Services at 10:30am in the sanctuary as one of our fabulous Religious School students becomes a Bar or Bat Mitzvah, leading us a prayer along with our clergy.  Occasionally, we meet for what we call “Community Shabbat” in which we gather as a community of all ages, to learn, pray, and nosh together.

Our Shabbat observance is always open to the wider community and no prior experience is required for Torah study.
